Rose Wallace Obituary

Rose M. Wallace, 78, of Camden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Colonial Park Nursing and Rehab in Rome. Born in Osceola, NY, on April 30, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Cavanaugh) Ammann. She was a graduate of Camden High School and on May 5, 1962, she was united in marriage to Harry Wallace. He passed away June 28, 2022.

Rose worked at Laribee Wire in Camden and Rome Hospital before finding her calling at the Ripley Drive Day Treatment for the CNY DSO, a position she just loved.

She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church.

Rose loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed camping in the Adirondacks.

Rose is survived by four daughters, Elaine Turk, Pamela Barber (Andrew), Brenda Bielby (Erwin L.) and Laurie O'Hern (Thomas); two sons, Gary and Wayne Wallace; fifteen grandchildren, Candace Darois (Kyle), Kayla and Andrew Barber, Kevan Turk (Elizabeth), Vanessa Turk, Chelsea Ayer, Kyle, Carolyn, Cheryl, Kaleb, Charlotte, Clarence and Clarice Bielby and William and Wyatt O'Hern; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Irene Jones, Lena Brown and Joyce Dean.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden, NY 13316. Interment will take place in McConnellsville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. to 1;00 p.m.
