My condolences to Sam's family, he was truly a class act! Sam always went the extra mile and took care of his Indim family - whether it was getting butter for the company refrigerator ("if it's not salted it's like having Vaseline!") or calling people when they were out sick (he called me for each and every surgery I had almost daily!) The funniest memory I have of Sam is when he came back from the Social Security office and told me and Sue that his name wasn't Sam, and his initials weren't SJS, his middle name was Abraham!! He laughed and said he couldn't imagine going through school, the military, or life not knowing, it was just what his mother always called him! Rest easy Sam, I hope Debbie (Smitty) was waiting with your coconut cake - and I hope they have an abundance of Russell Stover Jelly beans... xo
