Warner Cox Obituary

TOWN OF STEUBEN - Warner L. Cox, 57, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at his home while under the care of his loving family.

He was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, on July 1, 1966, a son of Gerald B. and Ella M. Perrin Cox. He grew up in Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia. Warner drove trucks for George Hutchins Trucking, Boonville, for many years and more recently at TJ Allen Trucking, Westmoreland. He also was a blaster for Archibald Drilling and Blasting in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Prior to moving to the Town of Steuben, he had resided on Mill Street, Boonville. He enjoyed going to camp and could fix just about anything. Just recently there was a benefit for him with many trucks parading by the house, which he truly enjoyed, and was overwhelmed by the love and support.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Gerrard Cox; children, David Geer, Wade (Terri) Geer, Tyler (Courtney) Guye, Jennifer (Stephan) Dineen, and Tara Guye; many grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Venita and Sandy Fraser, Kimberly Pratt and Ralph Powers, Terrance and Kathy Cox, Craig Cox and Kyle Cox; brothers and sisters-in-law, including Jody and Cal Southwick, whom he spent a lot of time with, along with Joe and Cindy Gerrard; many nieces and nephews, and mother-in-law, Geraldine Stooks. Warner was predeceased by a brother, Garrett Cox.

There will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Anita's Stevens Swans Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, NY 13502.

Mills Funeral Home, Boonville, has been entrusted with the arrangements. For an online message of sympathy, please go to www.millsfuneralhomes.com.
