William Jones Obituary
He was born in Rome on April 17, 1965, the son of William S. and Margaret (Donovan) Jones IV. Bill was that guy who liked to be busy and work with his hands, working on cars, and he could build just about anything. He enjoyed quiet times fishing, loved to travel to Florida and go on day trips. In his younger years, he was a DeMolay. He was a collector of Coca-Cola and Budweiser novelties.
He will be missed by his partner Wendy Evans; his two sons, William S. Jones VI and Jillian DeBlasiis of Rome, and Derrick Jones of Blossvale; his mother, Margaret Jones of Rome; eight grandchildren, Mason Paul Jones, Isabelle Irene Jones, Blake Matthew Widdell, Riley Olson, Brianna O'Drain, Zoey Olson, Cloey Olson, and Emily Fox; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise and Edmund Pawlak Sr, Jody Degnan, Tonya and Brian Jaynes, and Amanda and James Egleston; stepchildren, Shawn and Buffy Olson and Ashley Fox; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Niko. He was predeceased by his father.
All are invited to call Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Funeral services will be held at 6pm following the visitation. Please consider donations in Bill's memory to the Shrinerschildren.org.

My brother,Billy, was one of the most amazing men I know. He has hardships growing up but over cane so so much. He always had some joke or story to tell me when I saw or talked to him. I was his rock when he needed to get away and just talk things out and he was my rock when I needed the same. He will be missed by many but he will be missed the most by our Mom and his siblings. Never Good Bye but See Ya Later. Love and Miss you Billy. So so much. Your always in my heart and I know you walk with me everyday.
