While visiting family on Galveston Island, I look south towards Padre and sent a little prayer to Barbara. Thanking of the family, and my dad`s cousin.

Playing hide and seek and poker, safari hunts near the river, feeding geese and deer, hanging out in the barn with all the cats and sharing a twin bed with grandma are all special memories I have from my childhood. As I got older my family treasured our annual week trips to SPI to visit Barb where we would have wonderful conversations on sports, politics and life all over an oyster and a MGD. Barbara was awfully special to our family and will be missed but remembered forever. We love you Grandma.

We winter in the RIO Valley and stopped to see her at the Island. She was a very special lady and friend. She'll be greatly missed by all.

Although we were not as close to Grandma Barb as our son-in-law, daughter, and kids (Hannah, Jack, and James) - Grandma Barb always treated us very well. A truly kind and beautiful lady - will be missed by everyone she met. With Love, Chuck and Ruth Wilson

It was just last month that we were chatting in her living room catching up on family and enjoying the visit. I am so happy we decided to drop in. Barbara was a great help in tracing the Conklin family tree. We had fun comparing notes and filling in gaps. She will be missed. Rest in peace cousin.

I have many Happy memories shared with Barbara starting back in the 40's. She was first cousin to Robert, [Bob] my dear husband, And over the many years we managed to keep in touch. Even though we were separated by many miles. I am grateful for the last visit I had with her, a few weeks ago, We had a little happy reunion reminiscing the years passed. and I'm Sad but also Happy for that privilege. We chatted and laughed. She will be missed by her loving family Rest in peace Barbara.
