Curtis Moore Obituary

CURTIS 'CURT' MOORE, 49 ROCKFORD - Curtis "Curt" Moore, 49, of Rockford departed this earthly life Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center after a short illness. He was born June 24, 1958, in Chicago, the son of Ester Daniel and Edna Moore. He lived 40 years in Rockford, coming from Milton Junction, Wis. He was employed as an assembler for 11 years by Chrysler Corp. LLC. He confessed Christ as his savior at an early age at Christian Union Church where he served as a van driver, he later became a member of Washington Park Church formerly serving in the choir. Larry was a member of Narcotics Anonymous, later to defeat the addiction and became a proud advocate and speaker for the group in which he drew many lost individuals to life. He attended West High School, later to receive his GED and attended Washburn Trade School in Chicago, ITT Technical College, Rock Valley College, and most recently attended a computer class at Northwest Community Center. Larry leaves to cherish many loving memories, sons, Jermaine, Jason (Monica), Lance, Christopher; daughter, Frannie; five grandchildren; mother, Edna Daniel, brothers, Percy (Shirley) Moore, James (Sharon) Moore and Ronald Daniel; sisters, Mary Brown, Edna Moore and Carolyn (Andrew) Guerin; aunt, Annie Harrison; uncle, William Daniel; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friend, Stephanie Marton of Madison, Wis. He was predeceased by his father and all grandparents. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center CCU for the love and care shown to Larry. Service at noon, Saturday, Oct. 27, in Washington Park Church, 801 Concord Ave., with visitation from 10 a.m. to time of service; Pastor Jesse Allen will officiate. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State St.
