Dorothy E. Pruka 1939—2020
Dorothy E. Pruka, 81, of Rockford passed away Monday, December 7, 2020. She was born April 23, 1939 near Choice, Minnesota the daughter to Cyrus and Amy (Johnson) Larson. Dorothy attended Rushford High School, graduating in 1957. Dorothy married Ralph Pruka on November 18, 1961. She worked in the office of East Wind Mall until her retirement. Dorothy enjoyed jig-saw puzzles, crocheting and playing Bunco with her friends. Dorothy was a modest woman who always cared for others first. Dorothy loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Brian Pruka, Darrin (Joy) Pruka and Craig (Kelly) Pruka; grandchildren, Nicole Pruka; siblings, Conrad (Rachel) Larson, Jerald (Cheryl) Larson, Marlene Becker, Brenda (Glen) Erdmann, Andrea Erving; step-grandchildren Matthew (Megan) Born, Rikki (Andy) Eclov, Tyve (Hannah) Mattis and Amber Bauer; step-great granddaughters, Maely, Lella, Kinleigh and Indigo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doris, Helen, Bernhard, Grace, Claudine and Kenneth. Predeceased by her parents and sister-in-law, Caroline.
Cremation rites accorded with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a cause to be determined. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
