Memories are the legacy of love....Craig (and family) I want you to know how many memories your Dad left on so many of us! I remember your Dad back when he worked at Wensel's full service gas station and of course working with him at Taylor for so many years and last but not least living across the street from the friendliest neighbor in Rockton. He was a kind and gentle man that will never be forgotten! All God's blessings during this difficult time.

I only knew him for a few years but will miss him very much. He was my new Grandfather-in-law and I so enjoyed hearing his stories about the Korean War and his sweetheart back home, Elaine. Now they are together again for eternity.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Your Dad was a wonderful man. Now he's in heaven with your Mom and Sharon.

JUST A NOTE TO ALL WHO KNEW DOUG. HE WAS A GOOD MAN & A GENTLEMAN. I KNEW DOUG, ELAINE & FAMILY FOR 30 YEARS. WE HAD A LOT OF FUN GOING TO THE BAHAMAS, & THE "SURPRISE" TRIP TO ACUPULCO!! DOUG & I ALSO HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE PARDEEVILLE DUMP FINDING BEAUTIFUL ROCKS IN A ROCK PILE THERE & MY BELOVED "TREE STUMPS" THAT FLOATED UP-STREAM TO HIS LAKE FRONT. THEY ARE MY TRESURES GRACING MY YARD. THE GIFT OF MEMORY IS PRECIOUS. I CHERISH THE YEAR DOUG & I HAD TOGETHER, WHICH ALLOWED US TO CONSOLE EACH OTHER FOR THE LOSS OF OUR HUSBAND & WIFE. THANKS TO DOUGS FAMILY FOR THEIR SUPPORT DURING THIS TIME. IT WAS WONDERFUL TO BE ALIVE AGAIN FOR BOTH OF US. REST IN PEACE, DOUG! I'LL NEVER FORGET. JAN

Dear Craig and Cathy, May God Be with you at this time, what a loss. I enjoyed joking and laughing with your dad in the morning downtown at Ray's before I went to work at the Library. (Mary Lou) Merle has many fun memories of both your Mom and Dad, as I'm sure many people do. He was special to anyone he met. Sincerely,
Merle and Mary Lou Sprague
