FERN B. DRAHEIM, 91 BELVIDERE - Fern B. Draheim, 91, of Belvidere, died Friday, May 3, 2013, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born November 5, 1921, in Poplar Grove; daughter of Charles and Bertha (Brumgartner) Rewoldt. She worked for Bottle Cap (Champion Paper) in Belvidere and for GTE Automatic in Genoa. Fern enjoyed reading, traveling with her daughter, weekly card games at the Keen Age Center, eating out with family and friends, and visits from her grand and great-grandchildren. Survived by her daughter, Sharon (Ted) Gahlbeck; sons, Gary and Michael Draheim, all of Belvidere; grandchildren, Shannon (Derek) Thompson, Paige Draheim, Brittni (Mario Beasley) Draheim, Brooke (Josh Bullard) Draheim, Layci (Aaron) Jiles, Skylar (Jeremy Bullard) Draheim, Cole and Blake Draheim; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Emma, Olivia Draheim, Devin, Savanna Thompson and Jordan Beasley; sister, Jane Heywood of California; and special friends, Anne Manley, Sharon Stanton, and Nicki Miller. Predeceased by her parents; son, John Draheim; brother, Charles; and special friends, Joanne Johnson and Carol Lusz. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, with Rev. Dean Parker, chaplain for OSF St. Anthony, officiating. Burial will be private.
