I think of Judge Agnew all the time, both for the memories of our time together and as a guided for myself to aim to emulate as person and to serve others as he unfailingly did with optimism and good cheer.

I just learned that Judge Agnew recently passed away. I worked with the Judge for many years on various Alternative Dispute Resolution related projects. People reading this should know that this gentleman was a true pioneer and visionary when it came to matters in this area of the law. Not only that he was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by many. My sincere condolences to his family.

We will all truly miss such a wonderful man. I am very privileged to have known him and thankful for his guidance all these years. I was so honored when he wrote a letter of recommendation for me to get into law school. He would always ask how everything was going for me whenever I would see him. He truly cared. You have to look far and wide to find a genuine person like Judge Agnew in this day and age. He and Mrs. Agnew were wonderful neighbors too, always stopping to say Hi. And yes, I put the outdoor lighted Christmas tree on display this year just for you at your request. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. May God bless his loving family always.

Dear Pegee and Family: Judge Agnew introduced us 40 years ago when I was working with him at the S/A's Office and Ted was at the juvenile detention center. As he said "I think you guys will make a cute couple". We honored him at our wedding in 1975 giving him credit for our happiness. He was a wonderful mentor, friend and man. He will be missed greatly by many.
Our Love and Prayers

Dear Pegee and Patrick: For those of us who had the privilege of working with and knowing Harris, this is a great loss but with many wonderful memories. "Privilege" a word oft used - or over used - in these circumstances but in this case, very appropriate. He was a very unusual man: in a tough environment of the practice of law, serving as a judge, serving as a chief judge, and after "retiring" serving on a very large Park District Board and President of it [not even counting RSI work], he had the unusual combination of true modesty and gentleness, but also hard working getting things done. He truly thought he was privileged to be able to serve and make things better. He really got his "kicks" when he was part (often the major part) of having gotten improvements accomplished -- moving the ball down the field. A model for us all. Kent Lawrence
