Holly Baker Obituary
Holly M. Baker, 72, of Machesney Park passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018. Born December 31, 1945, in Rockford, the daughter of Harry T. and Helen M. (Johnson) Peterson. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1963. Married Thomas Baker on August 21, 1965, in Loves Park. Employed by Dr. Susan Fowell at Northern Illinois Retina for 15 years, retiring in 2015. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. Holly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and Sunday dinners with family. Survivors include her husband, Tom; daughter, Brenda (James) Milne; grandchildren, Miranda and Tessa Milne. Predeceased by her parents and son, Brett. The family wishes to thank Dr. Korkmaz and his staff at OSF St. Anthony Cancer Center, Dr. Skowronski and his staff at OSF Rockford Cardiovascular Institute Coumadin Clinic.
Service at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 1, in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from noon to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park. Visit delehantyfh.com.
