James Sparks Obituary
James "Jim" Ray Sparks, 52, of Poplar Grove, Illinois passed away in his home on June 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born February 28, 1969 in Burlington, Iowa son of Gary and Kathleen (Daggett) Sparks. He graduated from Belvidere High School, class of 1984. Jim worked as a team leader at Chrysler Corporation. Jim was a member of UAW 1268 and ABATE Motorcycle Club, and also held a NHRA Drivers License. He enjoyed drag racing- the whole community and fellowship they shared. Jim also loved motorcycles and the great outdoors; especially camping, hunting, fishing and tubing. Jim's greatest love was his family. He loved spending time with his kids and grand-kids.
Jim is loved and missed by his longtime significant other, Jennifer Blue; his parents, Gary and Kathleen; his three sons, Jacob (Ashley) Dawley, James (Zoey) Sparks and Christopher Sparks; his siblings Gary (Cheryl) Sparks and Diana (Shawn Sage) Sparks; grandchildren Adalynn and Oliver Dawley, and Lila and Ava Sparks; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services. 218 West Hurlbut Belvidere, Illinois 61008. Funeral service at 1:00 pm with Reverend Pamela Lojewski officiating. Burial at Poplar Grove Cemetery to follow immediately for all who would like to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James' honor may be made in care of the family to establish at a later date. To light a candle or share a condolence visit www.AndersonFCS.com
