John was always a customer with whom I enjoyed visiting when he came to see me at First National Bank. He always shared interesting views on topics of the day, usually with a touch of humor which helped my day. He will be missed by many like me who relished his company. I can only hope that the grief will find the way to gentle memories. Ninety years is a fantasticly long span, and to have spent more than a half century planting, growing and harvesting is a legacy few can claim. I wish I had known him, but am glad to have known his children.
