Lois E. Bodach 1938—2018
Lois E. Bodach, 79, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in her home. Born on July 6, 1938, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Lorraine (Dettmer) Dalbke. Lois married William "Bill" Bodach on August 5, 1961, in Niles, IL. He predeceased her on October 6, 2003. She started her career in education at Highland School in Rockford and taught in the Kinnikinnick School District until her retirement. Lois enjoyed golf and bridge. She also enjoyed collecting antique toys and dolls. Survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Dwayne) Coleman of Roscoe, IL, Amy (Jim) Kissane of Bensenville, IL, and Molly (Jim) Lengjak of Rockton, IL; grandchildren, Troy and Many Coleman, Alec Kissane, and Joe and Jake Lengjak; siblings, Gloria Bacsi, Robert (Inge) Dalbke, Gail Clements, Thomas Dalbke, and Jill (Steve) Olson; cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 N. 1st St., Rockford, with Reverend Jay Quinn officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the church prior to the service. Burial at Arlington Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements by Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd.
