Lola Janicke

Lola Mae Janicke, 86 ROCKFORD - Lola Mae Janicke, 86, of Rockford, formerly of Freeport, died Friday, April 15, 2011, in Wesley Willows Health Center. Born Jan. 17, 1925, in Freeport, the daughter of Charles and Blanche (Huber) Fosler. She married Arthur Janicke on Dec. 2, 1942; he died Oct. 4, 1986. Surviving are daughter, Sheryl Ann Harbison of Rockford; sons, David Janicke of Rockford, the Rev. Martin (Lana) Janicke of Lewistown and Douglas A. (Lorraine) Janicke of Rockford; brothers, Dick and Bill (Ruth) Fosler, both of Freeport; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and three brothers. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Walker Mortuary, 321 W. Main St., Freeport, with her niece, Patricia Heck, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
