Lynne E. (Weyburg) Weaver 1962—2019
Lynne Elizabeth (Weyburg) Weaver, 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 13, 2019. Born on February 21, 1962 in Rockford; daughter of Howard and Carolyn Weyburg. Graduate of Guilford High School, class of 1980. She earned her Bachelor of Education from Carthage College in 1984. Lynne had a lifelong passion for teaching and was dedicated to her students. During her career she taught in Illinois, Arizona and California. Most recently, Lynne was a much-loved member of the staff at Parker Center in Machesney Park, where she was a special education teacher for the past 12 years. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and her Golden Retrievers. Lynne was a selfless woman who embodied, kindness, warmth and compassion. She led by example and her lovely light shines on through everyone whom she made a positive impact on throughout her life. Survived by her beloved daughter, Valerie Grace Weaver; siblings, Doug (Karen) Weyburg, Kay (Peter) Krhin; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Kristin and Jack Weyburg, Ben and Vivian Krhin; many dear friends and co-workers. Preceded in death by her parents. Memorial Visitation on August 24, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural Street; Rockford, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Len Hoffmann will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Arthritis Foundation, Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois, or share an act of kindness in honor of Lynne.
