My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mrs. Tuttle. I had Mrs. Tuttle for my eight grade teacher. When our class got in trouble one type of punishment was to conjugate sentences. We all did very well in that subject by the end of the year! There was also a story about my older brother putting a rubber rat in her desk drawer when she supposedly wasn't looking. She never said anything about it to him. She just quietly gave it to my mother and told her to put the rat in his bedroom at home. Mrs. Tuttle will be missed. She blessed many, many lives!

Mrs. Tuttle was my sixth grade English teacher. I fondly remember her smile, wit, and high expectations. She was one of the many people from Poplar Grove who I deeply missed when my family moved away. I like to think that she and the other wonderful teachers at Poplar Grove Elementary were a large part of the reason I became an educator. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

It was a joy to spend a few days each year when we came to visit. Our time together was spent decorating family gravesites and talking of past family history. We will miss our annual Memorial Day visits with Marcia.

Marcia taught all four of my children and I also had the pleasure of working with her for many years when I was secretary at the Poplar Grove Elementary School. She and her husband contributed much to the North Boone area. I feel blessed to have know them.

Marcia has the softest, kindest heart of any one I have ever known. We always looked forward to her coming to the bead store with her knitting group to make jewelery for herself or for a gift for someone special. Her beautiful smile will be missed, but not forgotten.

My sincere condolences to the family, friends, and former students of Mrs. Tuttle. I got to know her after she retired. She worked as a substitute teacher for me and many other teachers at North Boone High School. She was always smiling and laughing with students as she walked down the hallway. It was obvious how much she enjoyed being there. The students' entries are touching testaments to what being a teacher is all about.

What a sad day for Poplar Grove junior high alumni. She and her husband also opened up their barn for many to view silent movies. Many memories came flooding back when I heard of her passing. My hat will be a sweet reminder of such a giving individual. May you rest in peace Mrs. Tuttle. God speed...

I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Marcia Tuttle. I was a student of hers 18yrs ago along with two of my older brothers. Each of us were fortunate to have had her as a teacher. She was tough and excepted no nonsense, she was commited to her students and expected the best out of them. She also loved every single one of us(even the tough to love ones). Through out my school yrs and into college I never came across another teacher that affected me as much as Mrs. Tuttle did. My brothers and I still talk about her and her ways, the things she did, and her approch to a situation. My oldest brother refered to her as his favorite teacher and spoke highly of her even until his own passing last year. I would just like to say that the words, "she will be missed" is insufficient in comparison to the feeling that her loss has brought myself and to her countless students over the years. So thank you to Mrs. Tuttle for caring so much about the children that needed it so badly. You will never be forgotten.
