Marcia S. Warne 1931—2021
Marcia S. Warne, 90, of Rockford passed away Monday, March 15, 2021. Born March 2, 1931, in Nappanee, IN, the daughter of Oscar and Zae (Lehman) Haney. Married Curtis Slabaugh on August 30, 1953, in Bremen, IN; they divorced in 1969. Married Henry Lawrence "Larry" Warne on September 16, 1972, in Rockford. Employed by the Rockford Public Schools for 27 years, retiring in 1995. Active member of Spring Creek United Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Gary Slabaugh, Judy (Craig) Baker, and Bill (Suzanne) Slabaugh; stepchildren, Scott M. (Renee) Warne, Shelley M. Feddema, and Shawn M. Warne; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Haney; brother, Joe (Yvonne) Haney; sister-in-law, Lorraine Young; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Richard Slabaugh; sister, Virginia Helmke; and stepson, Spencer Warne.
Facebook live and public service at noon Friday, March 26, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with walk through visitation from 11 a.m. to service time.
