Sandra Weddle Obituary
Sandra Lynn Weddle, of Rockford departed this life Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Swedish American Hospital, after a long illness. She was born June 21, 1964, in Rockford the daughter of John and Dorothy Jones. Sandra married William Weddle April 1, 1989. She was employed in admissions by Rockford Memorial Hospital 35 years before becoming ill. Sandra was a member of Greater Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was a former member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as the Music Director many years. She graduated from Boylan High School, Class of 1982, and graduated from Rockford Business College. Sandra leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, William; son, William Weddle Jr.; two sisters, Karen Key and Carolyn Murphy; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church, 1112 Taylor Street. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State Street.

Dear William and Kym,
Just now I learned of the departure of your beloved Sandy. The Bible says "He that findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the LORD." You had thirty years of blessings together so thank Him often. Thanks to Christ, she continues in her eternal rest and will have her reward. Friends, everyday when you think of your dear Sandy in heaven, do something worthwhile to help others to trust Christ and be ready to join her when the day shall come.

Sandy ,At MT Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Rev Toney was our Pastor, Mrs. Jones was our Sunday School Teacher. I spent many night in there loving home until my family moved back to Chicago, I'm very sadden by the news that my friend has taken her rest, To the Jones and Weddle Family, My PRAYER OUR WITH YOU ALL.

Will, so sorry to hear that your beloved mother is no longer here. We had the pleasure to meet your mother when you were in high school with our daughter. Instantly, you could see the love she had for you in her eyes. Always carry that with you, knowing she loved and cherished you and was your biggest cheerleader! You and Queenette stop by anytime. Aunt Sandy I dont have the words to explain how loved you are and how missed you will be. I could not wait until summer to come spend it with you. Waiting for you to come home from RMH so we could be silly and play beauty shop. I will forever cherish the memories we have.
