Steve was a student in several classes that I taught at North Love. We became and remained friends. Because of geographic separation I followed his efforts and service from a distance. My prayers and the prayers of my wife are with his family.

I only know Brother Steve through his writings and messages. They have been a tremendous help and blessing in my life. Very hard to believe he is now residing in Heaven. My prayers are with all of the family and friends he had. Heaven's gain is our loss, but I know he isn't longing to be back. Sharron Gregory, Ulysses, Kansas

Mrs. Curington and Children,
My family and I were so sorry to hear of Brother Steve's passing. my husband and I are workers in the Streetsboro, Ohio chapter where he recently visited. We also had the pleasure of traveling to Rockford and to N. Love Baptist Church for the training days. In the time we spent listening to Brother Curington preach it was clear of the love and passion he had for the Lord. It was an inspiration to see the dedication he had for the men and women of the Rockford homes. His vision to serve the broken and bring them to Christ was awe inspiring to say the least. We count it a joy to have been able to meet him. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful man with the world. May God be your rock now and forever!

?"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." Jn. 12:24 Father, may your word reign true with Steve's passing. I decree his testimony, of a life you redeemed and transformed shall continue to mutiply for your Kingdom purposes. Holy Spirit comfort all who knew him, may quietness & rest be their strength, that they may celebrate in the lives touched by this one life.

Our prayers are with Steve's family and friends during this difficult time. We are grateful for the sacrifices that they made in allowing Steve to minister to others. We are lives that have been changed because of all their sacrifices.

Precious Curington Family,
My prayers are with you in this very difficult time. I want to thank you so very much for sharing your husband/daddy with so many thousands of people.
My life has been profoundly changed because of Steve's willingness to surrender all to His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Although I am not a member of an official RU class, because of Steve's and Pastor Kingsbury's sharing heart, I was able to go through the first two of Steve's books: Strongholds and Uphold. Through Steve's books, devo's, Principles, and example, I have gained a much more intimate walk with the Lord Jesus. I no longer try to serve the Lord in my own strength; but I am learning to yield to the Spirit.
I have the privilege of teaching the Stronghold's Discipleship Class to women in the Quad Cities and also of taking the truths Steve has taught to the women in a local jail. We call the class Abundant Life--because that's what I've learned from Steve and God's Word.
I am eternally grateful to the Lord for Steve's life; and I thank you again for being willing to share him with so many others.
Your picture prayer/card is on my refrigerator, and I will continue to pray for you.
With sympathy and love in Jesus for you all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Praying for your family. You are greiving here on Earth, but you will rejoice with him in Heaven. "Just think of waking up and finding it's Heaven, of touching a hand, and finding it's God's, of breathing new air and finding it's celestial, of waking up in Glory, and finding it's Home".

Lori,Family and RU-We can't begin to express the sadness that is felt in our hearts due to the loss of such a special person. I feel it was such a privilege to get to know Steve through our work together. I know Steve will continue to direct RU through the tough times ahead. We send our deepest condolences to all and thank Lori and family for sharing Steve. His mission took him away from the family a great deal of time, but he saved so many lives and that was not just because of him but because of all of you working together-the strong support of his family. God bless you all and we will continue to be there for RU.--Deb Stolberg & Jill Carlson.

Steve, our beloved Steve, Out of weeping and anguish RU was formed. God had placed within you a heart for the lost and the hopeless. Souls bond in satins grip. He let you feel the pain and burden of bondage. Before you knew what hit you. God placed a calling upon your life and anointed you to fulfill his glory. We watched you grow in your vision and praised God as we seen His vision grow stronger within you. It was wonderful to be in the growing pains of RU. To watch God speak to your heart. To see you seek the voice of God as you walked forward. God knew your heart. He knew you was willing to serve. He took that servants heart , and created a movement of God that even your death will not stop. We feel blessed to witness the beginning of a program designed by God, empowered by God and anointed by God. A once in a life time experience. How blessed we have been to have loved you and been loved by you. Heaven has just gotten a litter sweeter. It will be exciting when we meet again, in the presence of our Savior. I wish i could understand your death As we weep your death, we know Gods ways are far above ours. We love Lori and the kids and will pray for them daily. Love, David and Marilyn Dunn
