Catherine R. Miller, 84, of Kutztown, died October 3, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where she was a patient since September 29, 2008. She was the wife of Irvin L. Miller. They were married on December 25, 1944. Born July 1, 1924 in Rockland Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Howard O. and Queenie (Hauck) Moyer. She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zions Union Church, Maxatawny Township, where she was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society. She worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, for three years. She and her husband were dairy farmers for over 40 years in Maxatawny Township, until their retirement in 1987. She lovingly cared for her four grandchildren throughout the years. She was a member of Pike Township Sportsmans Club and its Relief Association, Oley. Survivors: Husband, Irvin L. Miller; daughters, Leatrice M. (Miller) wife of Glance L. Moatz of Topton; and Nancy L. (Miller) wife of Robert L. Scheidt, Jr., Kutztown; a brother, Lee R. Moyer, Mertztown; and a step brother, Curtis Cronrath, Topton; four grandchildren, Michael S. husband of Pamela K. (Mengel) Moatz; Angela (Moatz) wife of Michael L. Steltz; Adrienne R. Scheidt fiance of Brian Wright; and Amberly J. Scheidt; two great-grandchildren, Jacob M. and Cathlene N. Moatz. Services: Funeral. Tuesday, October 7, at 10:30 a.m. from Zions Union Church, Route 222, Kutztown, with the Reverend Jimmy Lee Werley officiating. Interment in Zion (Maxatawny) Union Cemetery, Kutztown.
