Dexter Minor

SHERBROOKE, Quebec - Dexter "Dex" Minor, 50, on October 23, 2016, left this life to a new life in Heaven where there is no tears, no more pain, no more suffering and no more death. Rev: 21-4
Dex battled his multiple sclerosis for over 15 years, with true grit, being very courageous.
He lived in Vermont, Western Oregon and Southern Quebec, always making sure there were rivers, lakes and mountains where he could hike and paddle. He loved the outdoors, in all weather.
When Dex was younger, he went to Chamberlin School in South Burlington, the Little Red School House in Ira, Calvary Christian School in Rutland and Mount St. Joseph, where he enjoyed football and hockey. He studied at the College of St. Joseph and Oregon Community College in Eugene, Oregon.
He also enjoyed Awana at Ira Baptist Church and Word of Life camps. Dex worked hard and played hard but no matter what, he knew he always had the unconditional love from his daddy, only given by the Spirit of Jesus.
Dex had a very giving heart; if any one needed it and he had it, they got it.
Surviving Dex are his Daddy, Mitch Minor, of Ira, VT; a brother and his wife, Derek and Laura Minor of Albany, NY; a beautiful daughter, Asia Minor of Philomouth, OR (from a divorced marriage); a grandmother, Olive Minor of Orleans, Ontario.
Dex was predeceased in 2005 by his mama, Joyce, who was our Angel on Earth.
The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 19, in the Ira Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric May, pastor, officiating.
