Maxwell Burns Obituary
He was born in Rutland December 31, 2001, the son of Bradford and Dena (Field) Burns.
Maxwell was a student at Christ the King School in Rutland.
His wide interests and enthusiasm far exceeded his years.
Surviving are his parents and a brother, Parker Burns,all of Castleton; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Susan Field; paternal grandparents, Charles and Susan Burns; two uncles and an aunt, Fred Field,Matthew Burns and Rebecca Burns. He also leaves his extended family, Allegra Valberg and Shelly Field.
There are no calling hours.
The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Christ the King Church in Rutland. Officiating will be the Rev. Justin Baker, pastor.
A sunset lantern lighting will follow at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakehouse Grill on Lake Bomoseen.
Memorial contributions may be made to Maxwell Burns Memorial Fund, in care of Clifford Funeral Home, 2 Washington St., Rutland, VT 05701.

I never knew Max, but I knew his mom. I pray every year for the entire family during this sad anniversary. He would have been graduating high school and starting out in life now....the same age I was when I met his mom. She changed my life. I have read that Max resembled her...what an awesome kid. Prayers for all, again.

Maxwell and I were best friends, and I still pray for him every night. I miss the days when we went down to the pond to catch frogs, got lost on an island together, sled down the steep hill, celebrated the Fourth of July, and when he helped me when I fell off a snowmobile. He has taught me to take risks, and live without fear. Whenever I need inspiration, I think of him, and how he has touched my life. I am so sorry for your loss, he was an amazing friend.

My heart aches everytime I learn the news that another parent has lost a child. I lost my daughter going on 9 years on July 18th in a ATV accident. I wish there was something I could do or say to ease your pain just know your family is in my thoughts and prayers and remember its not goodbye it until we meet again.

Though we've never met, we visit the Lakehouse at least once a season-we all live in Sunderland and Arlington. We were there Tues. for my birthday and a friend's birthday.
