Peggy Corey Obituary
She was born Aug. 11, 1926, in Rutland, to Frannie and Homer Woods of Clarendon.
She attended Clarendon Elementary and Wallingford High School. She married Roy Corey on Aug. 18, 1943.
Peggy was employed by G.E. in 1966, and retired in 1989.
Survivors include her three sons, Roy (Lucky) Corey Jr. and Nancy, Bernie and his wife Barb Corey of Clarendon, and Rex and his wife Stephanie Corey of Fair Haven; and one daughter Sue and her husband Joe Alexander of Clarendon. Peggy also has 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Jean in 1963, a son, Thomas Corey in 2001, and her husband of 64 years, Roy Corey, in 2004.
There will be no calling hours or services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, P.O. Box 787, Rutland, Vt. 05702-0787.
Peggy's family will be holding a Celebration of Life at her home in Clarendon on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, from 2-5 p.m. They invite all family and friends to come and celebrate her life with them.

I am saddened by the news of Peggy's passing. I remember her fondly from my working with her at General Electric back in the 80's. She worked in the tool crib, and Peg was one of the first people I interacted with at the beginning of my day. My condolences to her family.
