Rick was a wonderful grandfather to Alyssa Battles, and a wonderful father to Ricky Battles he loved them unconditionally. Rick will be missed very much.

My condolances to all of Ricky's family. Whenever an Elvis song played at the legion or whenever someone needed a dancing partner Rickey would jump out there and get the party started. He just couldn't sit while a good song was playing. Everbody's going to miss him

I just want to thank all of you for your sympathies. My Uncle Rick and Aunt Betty were like a second mom & dad. I enjoyed all my visits and helping with the boys growing up. They truly made Poultney a great place to be. All my childhood memories of barbecues of Uncle Rick's latest "game" haha and hanging out in the den with all the critters. Baseball game, sweeping the parking lot competitions haha and so many other fun times. I miss you Uncle Rick. While in Heaven give mom, grampa and grandma hugs from all of us. Deepest sympathy to the Battles' family. My wife and I remember Ricky with great fondness as a kind, caring young man. We shall always rember how kind he was to our mother, Marie Foley.
A perfect gentleman with a heart filled with caring for others. God Bless his soul. We remember so well his Mom and Dad who, like Ricky,took such good care of my Mom. We shall always remember Ricky in our thoughts and prayers. It was so, so, sad to read this news.

Seeing Rick was always one of the highlights in visiting Poultney each year. I enjoyed seeing and hearing about his latest big game hunting expiditions. May our Lord Jesus grant peace and comfort during this time of loss.

Rick was a good person. I was saddened to learn of his passing. Remember him working at the store with his mom and dad as he was growing up and later running the store. My prayers and condolences to all of his family.
