Rose Gearwar Obituary

PITTSFORD - Rose M. Gearwar, 96, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, after a long illness, at Mountain View Center in Rutland.
She was born Dec. 18, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Lena (McIntyre) White.
Rose attended Brandon schools.
She was formerly employed at Paul's Cleaners in Rutland, the Brandon Inn and the Brandon Training School from which she retired.
She married Francis Gearwar in Middlebury, in 1939. He predeceased her on June 3, 1995.
Rose is survived by a son, George Gearwar and his wife, Genevieve, of Brandon; a daughter, Rose Marie Lang and partner Ray Bigilow, of Tupper Lake, New York; a sister, Natalie Colburn, of Rutland; a son-in-law, Arnold Cushman, of Proctor; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; a former daughter-in-law; good friends Mariln, John and Mary; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Cushman, on Oct. 22, 2016; two brothers Alfred and Henry White; two sisters Alegra Herbert and Veronica White; and two infant grandsons.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Pittsford.
Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford is handling arrangements.

Knew Rose many, many years ago, and got to meet her again several years ago when she was at Maple Village in Rutland. MY prayers to her family.
