Alice Lucille Lynn Schoener, age 98, of Modesto, died Saturday at Bethany Home in Ripon. Mrs. Schoener was a native Californian, born in Oakland, who grew up in Sebastapol. She later moved to Sacramento, where she lived for 70 years. She worked for 40 years for the Ralph C. Robinson Co. She also enjoyed family, church, dancing with her husband, gardening, and antique glassware. Mrs. Schoener is survived by her children Fred Schoener of Sacramento, Peter Schoener of Placerville, and Kathleen Seavy of Modesto, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Claude Schoener, and two sisters. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, July 27, at 2:00 PM at EAST LAWN MORTUARY, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento. A celebration of her life will be held following services.
