Angelo Mendoza Obituary

Age 90 passed away on January 7, 2019 in Sacramento, California. Angelo was born on October 1, 1928 in Bristol, Colorado; he was the son of Julio and Maria Mendoza. He was employed at Teichert Construction and Local 185 for 30 years as a Laborer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 4th degree Knight. He was a Big San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Sacramento Kings Fan. He also enjoyed watching Boxing and he loved to Gamble! He will be remembered for his funny sense of humor, dancing, he loved all his family, had a big heart and always tried to give the best advice he could. He was preceded in death by his wife Cecilia Mendoza, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage, daughters Patricia Mendoza, Stella Aguilar; sons Steven Mendoza and Eduardo Mendoza. He is survived by sons Angelo Mendoza Jr., Mario Mendoza (Venetia), Michael Aguilar, David Aguilar (Cheryl), and Steven Aguilar; daughters Yvonne Aguilar and Barbara Guerrero; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many family and friends. The viewing, rosary, mass, and burial services will be held at St. Mary's Chapel on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 9am-12pm at 6509 Fruitridge Rd., Sacramento 95820; with internment at St. Mary's Cemetery. Reception to follow at 1pm at Monsignor Kavanagh Hall located at 5905 Franklin Blvd., Sacramento 95824.
