I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. Mrs. Darling was my first grade teacher (I'm now 51 years old). I loved school when she was my teacher! I was just talking to my mom about her and she told me that Mrs. Darling used to take old library books apart and "rebind" them into chapters and then send them home with students. She told me that I used to get so excited because I had read a whole "book" in one night and literally run back to school the next day so that I could check out the next "book". To this day I love to read. I hope you take the coming fall days and sit by a fire with a good book and a cup of tea and think about your mother. I know I will! Thank you Mrs. Darling...
