Sacramento, California - It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Brendan Lawlor of Sacramento on April 26. He was our rock, our heart, and the reason for our smile. He passed suddenly but peacefully and is on to his new adventure as he fell asleep with us and woke up in the arms of God. Brendan was born on May 4, 1942 in Banna, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Brendan was the best husband, dad, and grandpa one could even dream of, and his love for all things Irish was the core of being. He was a devoted husband to Barbara, loving father to Erin Weeden, Katie Lawlor, Kerry Lawlor-Callman, and adored Papa (grandfather) to Sutter Weeden and Declan Callman. Brendan will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. 660 Florin Road, Sacramento.

Sincere condolences to the Lawlor family from your neighbours in Killeacle, Co Kerry. Although the Lawlor family no longer live in the home place, it will forever be known as 'Lawlors', with the fondest memories of those who lived and grew up there. The friendship between the Lawlor and Courtney families dates back to where Brendan's Mother Cathy Harty and my Mother Bridie Kirby grew up together in Ballinoe near Causeway.
We oray for you at this sad time.

Many, who grew up in Fair Oaks, will have the indelible memory of him standing on the field juggling a soccer ball with his head. He was so kind, clever, and always had a smile that lit up his Irish eyes. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
