Brian BARNARD Obituary

BARNARD, Brian Patrick
Was born on October 2, 1983, in Sacramento and left us on January 31, 2012. Brian will always be lovingly remembered by his friends and family for the smiles he put on our faces with his famous sense of humor. A devoted father, Brian was at his best when he was with his son.

Brian is survived by his son Adam David, loving parents Susan and Al, sister Katie, and grandmother Margaret Meyers, of Sacramento. Brian was the beloved nephew of Stephen and Gloria Meyers of Folsom and their children Johanna, Laura, and Elizabeth; Michael and Patti Meyers of Seattle and their children Andrew and Megan; Skip and Debbie Barnard of Sacramento and their son Shawn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dr. Fred Meyers and A.L. and Alma Barnard.

As with all who are taken from us too soon, Brian will be best remembered for those characteristics that set him apart: his strong work ethic, his gifted sense of humor, and his devotion as a father. A private remembrance service was held for the family. In honor of Brian, memorial contributions can be made to Tot Town Child Development Center, 2001 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95818.

Brian was a very special young man. We had many conversations in which he spoke of the love he felt for his son Adam, his family and friends. He spoke honestly of his life, the good and bad. I loved him like a Son and miss him terribly. May you rest in peace Brian until we meet again.

My regards to the Barnard Family. I am so sorry for your loss.

Brian will forever hold a special place in my heart. He was my first love and a big part of my high school years, and then after. Him and I shared a very special relationship and he always knew how to turn my tears to laughter. It absolutely breaks my heart to hear that he is no longer here. I send my respects and sincere condolences to Sue, Al, Katie, and the rest of the family. "God only takes the best..." All my love, Kirsten

My sincere condolences to the family. The Lord's prayer found at Mathew 6:9,10 can bring comfort. When God's will is done on earth, these sad times will be over. Sincerely, JLopez

One of the "Good Guys" Gone, But never to be forgotten! If there is anything we can share about Brian. Besides His amazing talent for making everything a comedy act (good times). Is how much he loved his son Adam, and how proud he was to be a father. Brian We Love and miss you so much...

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

This news has saddened me deeply over the past week. Brian was always the one to make us smile at family events at the Meyers and elsewhere. He was a wonderful cousin, brother, son, nephew and most importantly father. May his memories and personality shine through Adam and the rest of the family. XOXO

Oh Brian, I was so sad to hear about your passing. You are in most of my memories of elementary school. You always let me sit next to you and torment you in K-4th grade. You were my biggest play yard crush and I have nothing but fond memories of you. You even let Nicole, Cheryl and I teach you how to play hop-scotch. Making people laugh was your specialty. You will be missed!- Nickie Wallen (Ritter)
