Bryan was a wonderful friend, mentor and inspiration. A gifted scientific researcher, a person of great dignity and integrity, his gratitude for life's goodness, and the people who were part of his life's journey, was remarkable. He had an abiding passion to mentor young people - in his profession, in his church - as he was so grateful for those who had mentored him and taken him under their wings. Even as he was slowed by illness, he maintained such a sunny disposition, and the drive to communicate his gratitude, his passion, and his hope for a better world. He trusted God, and inspired trust in those with whom he shared his life and faith story. His professional legacy will be his research and perhaps as important, the students he inspired. My family and church friends will miss him greatly. Our kindest sympathies to May and Bryan's family.
