Bill and I will miss our once-a-year male bonding get togethers with Cal. He had a great sense of humor, and always kept us on our toes. We have shared our birthdays for several years so will miss him most in October. We are fortunate to have known him, his Karma will live on.

Dad was so many things to so many people. He loved to be a part of things and always tried his best to do whatever he did, well. This included being a dad, husband, grandpa, firefighter, family member and friend. He fought an amazing fight and in the process taught us all so much about living. My family and I will miss him, tremendously. The thoughts, memories and pictures you share touch our hearts. Thank you!

I remember the day that Calivn Webster took his test at the Mills Junior High School and our long conversation out in front afterwards, from that time on he went to work for the Rancho Cordova Fire District. Signed, Elmer R. Mc Beath, Jr.,Rancho Cordova (retired, chief)

I will miss Cal's financial input at the Association meetings. He and four others were instrumental in writing a business plan and convincing Sacramento Reional Transit to allow the Mills One Club to manage Mills Station. He will be missed at our meetings. I'm glad that I can say that Cal was my friend and former co-worker.

We are very saddened by Cal's death after he put on such a brave fight for so long. We already miss him vey much, as we think of our next trip to California. We have had some great times with Cal and Lila, and we really enjoyed having them visit us just a few months before Cal was diagnosed with the recurrance of cancer.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family, Lila, Julie and Jamie and the two grandsons and also to our son Erik who was very fond of Cal and thought very highly of him.
With our deeepest sympathy,
Paul and Anne Marie Gabele

Cal was a good, fair and honest boss to work under. He cared for his crew, both at work and away from the job.It was an honor to work for him. Rest in peace my friend.

Calvin and I go back to the early 60's. We were married (not to each other, but to each others' best friends); then we became parents of three fabulous "girls"....Carrie (my daughter), Jamie and Julie (Calvin's daughters). We loved life and life loved us. But our dear Calvin loved life just for the "sake of it" which is what I admire and remember the most about him. Calvin lived, loved, and laughed all his life....certainly a "human" role model for us all. Lynne Mains (San Diego) and Carrie Beard (San Francisco).

I will truly miss my old captain and boss. I will miss the spaghetti dinners and the hardy laugh and even the swearing at the Giants when they blow the game in the 8th inning. I will miss the rush around station 61 to beat the bell and the short sheeting of the bunks.
Cal was a great fire fighter and good guy. I learned a lot from him and I am saddened by his passing.

I knew Cal through the California Summer Olympics. Cal was the mastermind of the bowling event for as long as I can remember. Cal participated in his last Summer Olympics just 5 months ago in San Diego. Over 2 days, Cal bowled games of 159, 222, 182, 154, 169, 195, 189, 185 and 210. His 210 will be his last score ever recorded in the Summer Olympics, and it earned him a Bronze Medal. Calvin Jay Webster showed us how to live, and how to die. He is in God's Kingdom now. May we all take the same journey. Requiescat In Pace.
