Oakland, California - Carey Craig Covey Jr. passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021. Born February 4, 1944 in Sacramento, CA. to Carey Craig Covey and Maxine Covey. He is survived by wife Satsuki Ina, and daughter Nichole Covey, granddaughters Shannon Manning and Kirsten Manning, and great granddaughters. Pre-deceased by sisters Neva Broshar, Jody Hopkins, and brother Chuck Covey. Bedside service with family was conducted by Buddhist ministers, Rev. Bob Ohshita and Rev. Patti Ohshita on November 19th. Carey brought with him his sense of humor, warmth, and dedication to his work in real estate with Cook Realty and his AA Men's Group for many years where he touched and inspired many lives. He will be missed and will live in our hearts forever.

Carey was always one with the quiet sense of humor. I send my sympathies to his wife and family. I worked with him as a fellow agent at Cook Realty. I used to kid him and the other guys who went to his meetings at noon with lunch!!
