Charles Siebe Obituary

Charlie was born Feb. 3, 1921 in Westwood (Lassen County), CA and passed away peacefully in his sleep Jan. 23, 2012 in Carmichael just short of his 91st birthday. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Lillian (Sue) and Daughter, Linda LeRoi (Greg). He is survived by his sisters Helen Markee, Mildred Fish and Alta Biddle, his sons Richard & Curtis (Lisa), daughter Lori, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He loved to fish and hunt while growing up in Westwood. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1939, joined the Army in 1942, was wounded and disabled in 1945. He met Sue while recovering and was married in 1946. He graduated from UC Davis and worked for the State Dept of Agriculture until 1978 when he retired. Charlie and Sue traveled extensively during retirement. After Linda's death in 1990 he provided love & support to the LeRoi family, helping to raise her three boys. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He will be buried in a private ceremony at the Westwood (Lassen County) Cemetery this summer.

Sincere condolences to the Siebe family; Charlie was such a fine man with integrity, generosity and a love for life; may you find comfort in knowing he is with Sue and Linda and continuing to watch over all of you.
