Age 23 went to be with our Lord unexpectedly on Friday, January 27, 2006, at Fort Lewis, WA. Chris was born June 28, 1982, in Tampa, FL, to MSGT and Mrs. Franklin and Patricia (Bateman) West. He joined the Army on June 28, 2000, and married Elizabeth Anne Corey on April 14, 2004. Chris is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his parents Frank and Pat and his brother Mathew, all from Gresham, OR, his grandparents Harris and Betty Bateman of Troutdale, OR, and James and Irma West of Union Gap, WA; and numerous other family members and friends. Chris served his country proudly doing what he loved. Viewing will be held from Noon-8:00 PM on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services, with Military Honors, will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, Feb. 6, at the Main Post Chapel on Fort Lewis.
