Portland, Oregon - After a difficult battle with Parkinson's Disease, Claudia Jane Robinson passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Claudia was born in Aurora, Illinois to Roy and Alida Jane Heacock in 1948 and raised in Whittier, California with her older brother, Mike. Claudia was passionate about reading, riding horses, playing the piano, and being a girl scout in Troop 446. After being named valedictorian at Whittier High School in 1966, she attended Pomona College and graduated with a degree in French. After that, she traveled through Europe with her brother, and went to law school at UC Davis. It was there that Claudia met Daniel Robinson through a mutual friend. They married in 1974 in San Francisco. In their 14 years together they had two children and lived mainly in the Land Park neighborhood of Sacramento.

Claudia was a fiercely intelligent woman and the first woman to graduate from college in her family. She had a successful career as an attorney in Sacramento, working as a partner at three law firms; Fitzwilliam, Memering, Stumbos, and Demers; Mackenroth, Seley, and Anwil; and Lewis D'Amato, Brisbois, and Bisgaard. She retired in 2007 and moved to Washington and then Oregon to be close to her son, Andrew, and daughter-in-law, Jenny.

Claudia was predeceased by her brother, mother and father. She leaves behind her son, Andrew Robinson, and his wife, Jenny Mittelstaedt; her daughter, Michele Fletcher, and Michele's husband, Joe Fletcher; and her two grandchildren, Elodie Fletcher and Evelyn Fletcher. Services will be held at Rose Hills Cemetery on February 17th at 9:00 a.m.
