David Mark Hanson

1935 - 2016

David Mark Hanson was born November, 16, 1935 and passed away September 5, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's. David was born and raised in Glenn County and graduated from Willows High School in 1954. Shortly thereafter, David married his high school sweetheart, Cecilia Wampler. David was preceded in death by his parents Mark and Mildred, and is survived by his brother Richard, sister Marlene, daughters Audrey Daugherty, Connie Gisler and Kelcey Hanson, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Being a restless entrepreneur at heart, in 1967 David and his wife Cecilia, along with David's parents, Mark and Mildred Hanson, founded M&M Electric Company, which has been operated by their family since its founding, and it continues to be a thriving business, now operated by his daughters. David loved life in the Sierras: hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and gold mining. In his later years golf became his passion. His graveside service will be held at the Brownsville Cemetery on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 1PM. Funeral home website is www.lambertfuneral.com if you would like to post a message in his honor.
