David Lee Obituary

David Lee

August 25, 1945 - January 17, 2024

Fair Oaks, California - David Daryl Lee, 78, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024, surrounded by family following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. His unwavering sense of family and friendship carried him through to the end, buoyed by the love and support of his family, friends, and numerous well-wishers. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marsha, his parents, David and Lucille, his brother Donald, and his sister Donna Konesky.

Born on August 25, 1945, in Reno, NV, Dave moved to Sacramento at an early age and lived there his entire life. He enlisted in the Army in 1965 and served in Korea. He later graduated with a BS in Business from Sacramento State University, where he was a proud member of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. It was at Sac State where he met his wife, best friend, and lifelong companion, Masha Henry, whom he married in 1969.

Dave next embarked on a successful sales career at Lovotti Brothers wine wholesaler. He was an active community member, involved with youth and social clubs, as well as being a founder and active member of Gold Country RV Club. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, engaging in activities such as camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling with loved ones, pursuits that brought him happiness until his final days.

Dave is survived by his sons Jeff (Darcy) Lee of Weed, CA, and Darrin (Renata) Lee of Weehawken, NJ, as well as his cherished grandchildren Jake, Jordyn, Adriana, and Giuliana. He is also survived by his sister Darlene Falconer.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of David Daryl Lee will be held at the United Methodist Church of Rancho Cordova at 11 am on February 2, 2024, at 2101 Zinfandel Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. Following the service, a reception will be held to honor and remember this remarkable man who touched the lives of many.

Having known Dave and Marsha for 30+years I have to agree that he was an amazing dedicated Father. Whenever I saw him he was always sharing stories about the boys and whatever sport they were doing at the time. Even wearing their sports photo buttons at work and for sure on his visor. As the boys grew, his pride in them grew as well. He excitedly talked about their lives and what they were up to. He cherished his boys and their families. I saw all three of them at Ruth Chris a few years ago and I loved that they made time to be together with their dad solely.
His devotion and love for his sons was only out shadowed by his love for Marsha. He was an adoring husband who supported her career advancements and soccer enthusiasm. The hole in his heart was huge when Marsha passed.
Rest in Peace dear Dave. Tell Marsha HI <3
