David Ronshausen Obituary

RONSHAUSEN, David Leslie
David passed away peacefully in his home on August 30, 2004. Born in Alton, Illinois, on November 22, 1936, the youngest of seven children. David came to California to pursue golf as a profession in 1959. Although not quite making The Tour, David taught golf for nearly 15 years and was regarded as one of the best in the North Bay Area and later the Sacramento area. Through his life, he had a passion for golf, and later, when unable to play due to health issues, he collected golf clubs and other golf paraphernalia as a hobby. In the last several years in retirement, he found a community of friends at the Folsom Blvd. Flea Market who shared his passion for collecting treasures. There each weekend, David touched many people with his easygoing manner and empathetic ear. It was in the North Bay Area that he and former beloved wife Beverly Carruthers raised three beautiful children: Stacy, Chris and Marni. Together, Davids children blessed him with four beautiful grandchildren, whom he loved. David is survived by a brother and two sisters who live locally and who will attend his memorial that will be held in Nevada City in the mountains and in nature where his soul now dwells.
