My memories of Don were of the many stories of adventures with my Dad, who was Don's cousin, Fred Gere or (Harry Fredrick Gere) as they grew up together. My oldest boys remember him for spending loads of quarters to fetch stuffed toys with the claw at the local diner. He was a pleasure to know. RIP Don, for sure my Dad's special cousin.

You were the nicest man. Always smiling and happy. You loved us so much, me and Susan. You imprinted my life in so many ways. You will always remain in my heart.

I met your Dad many years ago and liked him from the inception, as did those at his memorial today. I was extremely impressed with what he was doing and what he has done over the years -- AMAZING! When I was younger I was a multi millionairre and traveled the World. In those travels I met many billionairres and did business with them. Yet, none of them was impressive with what they had done as was Don in my opinion! His abilities were incredibly impressive and only wish I had been that capable.

The World will not be the same without him and I'm sure he will equally impress those he is with now and I will be happy when I can again be with him!

Rest in peace Don and enjoy being with God, the angels and all your family and friends who preceded you!!!

Many memories of this wonderful man, through the years we laughed and shared stories about Outdoor Advertising. Don had such a great personality, but most of all he was kind and honest. I will greatly miss his phone calls. Mary Ribaudo @ Orion Outdoor Media

??Our paths crossed as members in the Citrus Heights Communitu Marching Band. Don was the definition of gentleman, friend and so much more...Always a smile on his face (even after a 3 mile parade in full dress and record heat.) He took great pride in everything he did. He really enjoyed having a photo in the band with my girlfriend's daughter (the youngest) member and himself..(the most seasoned professional)
As the Thunder Bass Drummer and me the Music Director Lead Trumpet Player..Don was the driving force
" the Heartbeat" of our organization. He will forever be remembered, cherished and in my heart everytime I practice and perform with CHCMB. Until our paths cross again I will add you to my distinguish list of love ones and musicians evertime I play, compose, arrange or listen to music.Keep a seat for me in the greatest band of all time. I miss you Don.
Prayers of peace, love, hope, healing, comfort and understanding to all.??

Don was a great ambassador for the outdoor advertising community, a true pioneer, and most of all a kind human being. All of us at Orion Outdoor were sad to hear of Don's passing and will have your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Don made our lives richer. He will always be remembered as a wonderful friend, classmate, storyteller, fun person to know and will always live in our hearts. He always marched to a different drummer, which made him a hero to us. We will miss him. Andy and Marion Conti, Sue, Bob and John.

Uncle Don...you were the darling uncle who brightened his tiny niece 's day with a puppy. When the time came, it was you who taught your niece to drive...on the CA expressways! Your love and wisdom has become a part of my life and now rests in my heart!
