SCHMIDT, Edith Thompson
Resident of Elk Grove. Beloved wife, sister and mother, born in Alabama, passed away unexpectedly in Sacramento on August 3rd at age 76. She was an example of strength, love and devotion. Edith was devoted to prayer and the church. She is remembered most by her three daughters, Monica, Therese and Mimi; 1 son, Kurt Schmidt; 6 grandchildren, Alexi, Deanna, Tia, Jonathan, Theresa, and Joshua; 3 sisters, Betty, Mary Catherine and Aimee, 2 brothers, Hays and Paul. Edith attended mass everyday and was a member of St. Charles and St. Paul's. Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation between 6:00 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. at ELK GROVE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd. in Elk Grove. The recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:30 P.M.. The Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 7584 Center Parkway, Sacramento on Thursday, August 10 at 10:00 A.M.. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances are preferred to Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

To Deanna Murillo,

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Edith was a nice and caring woman and she will be missed dearly. I been what you are going through now and hope the best will come of it. Even though I dont keep in touch with you now, you helped me create the person who I am today and you will always have a special place in my heart. I cherish all of the memories we shared.
