Edna YEE Obituary

YEE, Edna
Edna Yee, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and wife departed peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2012. She had a short courageous battle with cancer and passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family. Edna was born on April 5, 1931. She graduated with honors from C.K. McClatchy High School and attended Sacramento City College. Edna dedicated her life to Harry Yee, her husband of 62 years, and her four daughters. Together, they were partners in both life and business, building a successful engineering firm. Edna was an avid sports fan; she loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing bridge, pinochle, golfing and travelling with her friends in Sacramento, Cameron Park and the Four Seasons. Edna illuminated the room with her bright smile and joyous laughter. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Shee and Lee Tai King, and brother, Elmer C. Lee. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Harry A. Yee, daughters Alexa Yee, Marilyn Yee, Carrie Wong, Lauren Yee, sons-in-law, Andy Wong and Scott Olney, six grandchildren, Alyssa, Scott, Brandon, Halle, Amanda and Ally, sisters Rose Jang, Loretta Louie and husband Larry, and a host of loved nieces, nephews, and lifetime friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Asian Community Center Nursing Home in memory of Edna Yee, 7311 Greenhaven Dr., Ste. 187, Sacramento, CA 95831. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, from 12-4 p.m. at the Mix, 1525 L Street.
