We are very sorry for you loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to the Evans family. Ed was such a big supporter of Luther Burbank High School. He touched the lives of many students who benefitted from his kindness and caring.

Mr. Evans was fatherly to me since age 13. I befriended his son and had no idea that this was the equivalent to being adopted by their entire family. After years of discussions about track, relationships, school, family, music, and the silliness in the world, after eating at their dinner table with him and his family on many a night, after all this time...I can truly say that he has had a profound impact on my life as he helped shape my values and offered his support and understanding for more than 40 years. I will miss his wisdom, sense of humor and love, and I will live my life as if he's watching, because...he is. Blessing to the Evans family. I'm always here for you in these trying times. We are family, and as Mr. Evans would want us to do...we will continue to move forward. I will do so in his honor. Peace.

My sincerest condolences and love to Sharon, Katey, Rocky, Pat.
Sharon and Ed Evans influence was woven into the fabric of my childhood.
Eds level headed compassion was always steady force.
Many fond memories of a good man.

Dear Sharon and family - You know how much we loved and depended upon Ed. And you. He was so smart and kind. My parents, too, loved him. I loved working with him at FTB...smartest guy in the room, but he did not push himself. No matter; we knew. Love to you all. Kelly Collins Scoles
