Emiliano NEVAREZ Obituary
NEVAREZ, Emiliano R. 'Mel'
Entered into rest in Roseville, CA April 6, 2014. He was born in Wheatland, CA and remained a resident of Placer County. Beloved husband of Albertina 'Bertie' (Ramos) Nevarez for the past 66 years. Also survived by his granddaughter Alison, great-grandchildren Haley and James, brothers Theodore Nevarez, Henry Nevarez, sisters Jenny Rodriguez, Margaret Dominguez and Josephine Aslin. He is preceded in death by his pride and joy his only son Mel Wayne Nevarez in 2003. Mel will be deeply missed by a very large extended family and numerous friends. Mel was a man that always left an impression no matter where he went. You could find him at any grocery store talking with all, a regular at every garage sales and he loved the casino. You are now with my dad again grandpa. We will see you again when our work here is done. The family invites you to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate his life at 10:00am on Friday, April 11, 2014 at The Old St. Mary's Church 5251 Front St. Rocklin, CA 95677. His burial will follow at Rocklin Cemetery with his son. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Valley in Roseville, CA. You may leave your condolences at

What a great man, a great neighbor and a perennial fixture in our neighborhood. Mel was always quick with a smile and a wave and always took the time to listen if someone needed to talk.
We've only been in the neighborhood 14 years, but since his great-grandson and my daughter became friends, I have always viewed he and Bertie as the perfect example of how to have a loving marriage, ow to be truly giving and selfless and how to love unconditionally and without expectations.
I'll miss seeing him out talking with other neighbors and friends. You can feel it in the air of the neighborhood that we've lost a great man.
God bless Mel. And, please, God be with Bertie, Haley, James and Alison and help ease their sorrow. He was a great man who lived a great life. We should all be so lucky to know someone like that, let alone be family with them.

Well its been almost a week without you grandpa and life just isn't the same. I know how much you've missed my dad and now you guys are back together again. I will do my best to take care of grandma don't you worry and your little dog chico. Miss you and love you.

We have been so blessed to have known Mel for the past four years. He wasn't just a neighbor, he was an instant friend! Our neighborhood won't be the same without our friend Mel cruising around.
