Eugene Henderson Obituary
May 11, 1937 - August 7, 2025
Auburn, California - Eugene H. Henderson (1937-2025) who passed away on August 7th. was the son of Samuel and Mary Henderson. He was born in Sacramento, graduated from Folsom HIgh School, served as a Small Arms Specialist in the Army, was a Captain in the Sacramento Fire Dept. and a private Attorney at Law. Gene was considered as a marksman extraordinaire, hunter par-excellent, master fly fisherman, a champion of the disenfranchised, pilot, author, humorist and lecturer. Family and friends enjoyed his story telling. He was with the love of his life, Gaye Wood, for 38 years. He was proud of his engineer children Ken and Shelley and grandchildren Adam (artist), Amy (architect) and Craig (engineer). He was predeceased by his brothers, Nile, Loyal, Donald, Gerald, Samson, and John. There will be a private gathering later.

Gene and Gaye lived across the street from me in Land Park. Both Gene and Gaye were loving, supportive neighbors - comforting me as I went through a difficult time. He was smart, kind, funny, handsome and charismatic. He and Gaye were so in love. I remember him well. May his memory be Eternal

Eugene was the last living child of Sam and Mary Henderson. My father Loyall was Eugene´s oldest brother. I am 2nd to the youngest child of Loyall. We share your sorrow. Blessings and prayers. Rev. Shirley Vorse

I am the youngest daughter of loyal n Margaret Henderson. Eugene was one of my uncles. Rarely got a glimpse of him but he was always smiling. My condolences to his family God Bless

Gary and I are very sorry to read this. Gene and I shared a lot of laughs when we worked together on H Street, but we also worked hard. Gene was a very kind person always ready to lend a helping hand when he saw a need. We were at Gene and Gaye's beautiful wedding. We wish the family well. Goodbye Gene, rest easy. Karen Davis
