SHIPP, Henry Joseph
''Hank''
In the early morning hours of July 21, 2006, Henry Joseph Shipp died in his sleep at his residence in Sacramento. Henry, known to his family and friends as "Hank," was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Sept. 16, 1951, the fourth of six children to Robert and Neona Shipp. In 1969 Hank graduated from Calaveras High School in San Andreas and went on to Reedley College. Hank met and married Stella Inez in May of 1972. They have three children, William, Allison, Stacey and three grandchildren. Hank worked in the Sacramento area in the tech industry and was also a local church youth leader and youth coach for many local Soccer leagues. Hank is survived by his wife Inez and three children. Also survived by his mother, Neona Shipp, four brothers, a sister. Along with his aunts, uncles and cousins are many young people that he referred to as his extended family. Hank will be missed dearly by all, but his legacy will continue through the lives he has touched. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 9350 Kiefer Blvd, Sacramento.
