McCUE, Ian A.
Born September 9, 1995 in Sacramento, CA. to Sheryl and Andy McCue. Passed away on April 3, 2011. Ian is the beloved son of Sheryl McCue (Valencia), and grandson to Karl and Joyce (deceased) Valencia. Ian is the beloved son of Andrew McCue, and grandson to John and Sandi McCue. He is survived by his sisters Kaitlyn and Adyson. Ian was a sophomore at Casa Robles High School. His interests included music, skateboard design, baseball, soccer, fun with his friends and family and doing anything outdoors. Ians family and friends will continue to remember his smile, laughter and witty sense of humor. He will be most remembered for the love and joy he brought to others.
Viewing 4:00 pm 8:00 pm and rosary April 8, 2011 6:30 pm at East Lawn Mortuary 5757 Greenback Ln, Sacramento. Funeral Services April 9, 11:00 am at Divine Savior Catholic Church - 9079 Greenback Ln, Orangevale. Reception immediately following.

Sheryl and Andy,
We are deeply saddened by the news of Ian's passing, as Ian was one of our most favorite students we have had in all of the classes we held. He was not only passionate about skateboarding and the art behind it, he was also very passionate about life.
Ian was a very talented artist and designer which really showed in the deck he built with us and the many he had created on his own. Some of his deck design knowledge surpassed even ours, and he shared his talents with not only us but his entire class. When Ian was not working on his own deck he was helping out others in the class with their decks. Ian shared the same passion for designing skateboards and longboards as us. We had once told Ian when he got older we would love to hire him as an instructor.
Ian will be truly missed!

Sheryl, i feel honered to have been friends with your son, I am a senior at Casa Roble High School, and i was your son's T.A. (teacher's assistant) for his woodshop class. ian brought so much joy to this world, and always knew how to put a smile on a persons face. Ian's family, i am truely sorry for your loss. Ian was one of my best friends and he has touched my life. we had the same PE period together last year, he was a freshman and i was a sophomore. we had a super-secret -cool handshake as he loved to call it :) i will never forget his smiling face. i always saw him with a smile on his face, which in turn would put a smile on mine. i pray that your family finds comfort in all those who love him and we all miss him dearly.

Ian was a good friend of mine, i rode longboards with him a couple times, and it never occured to me that something like this could happen to such a wonderful kid, He always supported everyone, if he saw you were having a bad day he would say something that would cheer you up instantly, He will be forever missed by Me, and each of my friends.

I met Ian last year through ROTC. I remember training him in drill, and watching him scream his piercing girly shriek as he imitated another girl in his flight, during their skit. We will miss him and all of those times after school when he would lift up his shirt and tell us he was delicious. I miss those times when he had tried teaching me how to long board, and i sucked so bad it was ridiculous, but we still had fun. <3 Casa Roble's AFJROTC unit would like to dedicate our unarmed exhibition drill performance, on april 16th, at Norcal Drill Meet, to Ian.. On behalf of CA-901, We all love you Ian, and miss you very much.

I never had the pleasure to meet your son, however my son Jacob did have such an opportunity. He was greatly affected by the loss of Ian. I have heard Ian's name on many occasions in my home because the boys had spanish together and my son thought he was a terrific person and wonderful friend. Dear MCCue Family,
It was an honor to have officiated soccer games with your son. He made me laugh and inspired me to appreciate my family, because he often spoke highly of his own. As the Referee Coordinator of Sunrise Soccer Club I can honestly say that Ian was one of the few referees that was dependable, trustworthy, and promoted "the good of the game". It was a privelage to have known your son, and I am so very sorry to hear of your (our) loss.

I met Ian last year at a soccer tournament. He kept me company while I sat at the booth between games. I could tell in an instant what a bright and sweet person he was. Where ahould being. I meet Ian last year my junior at Casa Roble High School. He was in the AFJROTC unit and we were same team"UNARMED" no a day he'll make me laugh and everytime he was't there in the morning every body was quiet. Then i end having class with him my senior this last tem.Mr.Leever class, third period Woodshop2.Ian help me out every day due to the fact i've lack of experince with Woodshop and he was good at it.Everyday he at least say hi and see how i am doing and i f i need any help. I am miss because he was the most funny,caring person.I'll never forget him, i'll be praying for him and his family. <3 u buddy :)

I'v known Ian since 7th grade. He was always happy, always a smile on his face. He showed no imperfections. He would always help anyone in need. Little did i know that would all come to an end. If i would have known that Friday would be the last time I would be able to see him, hear him, talk to him.. My son has spoken very highly of Ian, and is greatly saddened by his loss, as are many young people who know him at Casa.
