Ida Rogers Obituary
August 30, 1930 - September 4, 2024
Sacramento, California - Beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 94. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1950 Ida married the late Deacon Joseph Rogers and together moved to Sacramento where they were blessed to have and raise three daughters: Rhonda, Patrice and Gail.
Ida enjoyed a fulfilling career with the State of California and was deeply involved in her community and especially her church, Saint Paul Church of Sacramento, where she faithfully and actively served, including as a teacher, in the Women's Ministry and on the Mothers' Board.
A viewing will be on September 19, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Morgan Jones Chapel of Chimes, 4200 Broadway, Sacramento and a home going Celebration on September 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul Church of Sacramento, 3996 14th Avenue.

My thoughts are with your family as they honor your memory. Rhonda and I have known each other since grade school and when we talked about your passing, her words were that of a daughter that loved and respected her mother so much. You raised 3 beautiful daughters, and your memory will live on for generations to come as they tell your stories and spread your love of family. You were a very special lady to so many. God bless.

Sending love, prayers and sincere condolences to the Family and loved ones of Mother Ida Rogers. She was indeed a lady of grace and class...never without an encouraging word to share. She and I grieved the loss of our Florin Mall meeting place but moved forward with gratitude for our gifts of life and family. I loved Sis. Rogers. She was a woman of God who exuded poise, class, and a sweet disposition. She was my Sunday School teacher with Deacon Holloway for married couples. Gail, Patrice and Rhonda, you and your entire family have my sincerest condolences.
