James Edelen Obituary

James E. Edelen, born November 23, 1941 in Springfield, Kentucky, passed away December 20, 2017 at the age of 76. His is survived by his wife, Karen, of 38 years, his sisters Tillie Gibson, Margaret Bentley and Betty Thurman, his sons James Edelen Jr, Chad Haight, daughters Sheryl Edelen, Tami Feemster, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Jim grew up in Louisville, KY, granduated from St Xavier High School, and received his AA from the University of Phoenix in July 2001 in Sacramento. Jim spent 26 yrs in the Air Force and 18 years at UCD Medical Center in Sacramento before retiring. Jim's interests included running, bicycling, Toastmasters, Spin class, hunting and cruising. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at Bayside of Granite Bay, 8191 Sierra College Blvd. Roseville, CA 95661, Friday, February 9th at 10 AM.

I love Jim and his family so very much they have always been there for me! Jim always had a sweet smile on his face would do anything for anyone!! Jim was always there specially when i lost my beloved husband Bob just came without question and mowed my lawn every single week!! I would visit him no matter where he ended up!!! My condolences to Jim's family. I knew him when he worked at the UCDMC. We volunteered in several projects and I attended one of his Toastmasters class. He always had a smile and was always so cheerful. He loved to talk about all the cruises he went on and the good times he had. Rest in peace dear friend.
